Gopal Swers, the Property Coordinator at Manhattan Apartments, Inc., is our all-around handyman. He scans our four floors throughout the day to see to it that all is well and to ensure that our offices are kept in pristine and working order. Mechanically oriented, Gopal is an important part of our technical department and works on everything from air conditioners to copiers. When he can't do it himself, he coordinates the crew to get the job done. He is also responsible for the ordering of all our office supplies.

Originally from Southwest Virginia, where he worked at a recycling center, as a welder, and as a short-order cook, Gopal moved to Manhattan to work in a BMW shop and to attend Lincoln Tech, where he obtained a Certificate in Auto Mechanics and graduated at the top of his class. His brother, our Chief Technical Director, recommended Gopal when we were looking for someone to oversee the physical appearance of our offices. His previous employers all gave him exceptional references and said that they would hire him back again if he ever wanted a job. After working for us since 2001, almost any manager here would say the same.

Gopal is a very straightforward guy with a dry wit. He has a passion for automobiles and music and has an extensive CD collection. He also likes to travel and has gone to Europe several times, spent time in Hawaii, and has driven across the United States, visiting many areas from coast to coast. The agents and staff at Manhattan Apartments all appreciate how easy Gopal is to get along with and how focused he is on his job, and have come to depend on his willing assistance to keep things in order.
